Norton Has a New Friend

Well, "friend" may be pushing it at this point. The old (he's is 5) curmudgeon is tolerating the new upstart at this point.

She came from Iowa on a rain-soaked Saturday evening--May 31--about 10 minutes after the tornado warning was canceled. A friend of mine picked her up in Des Moines where she was handled off from the PAWS & More Animal Shelter of Washington, Iowa.

She came with the name "Tammy," but has since been renamed "Koko." Think Cocoa--a chip off the ol' Chocolate! Koko is also the name of one of the feline characters in "The Cat Who ... " mystery books. And it's my initials (twice).

Koko is a Burmese mix and I'm guessing she's about one. She still has a lot of kitten in her. She doesn't sit still unless she's sleeping, so getting images of her awake has been difficult!
